Durgapur Institute of Nursing Sciences is dedicated to promoting inclusive education by offering financial support to eligible GNM Nursing students. A wide range of scholarships and assistance options are available through government schemes and institute-level concessions based on merit and financial need.

Government Scholarships

• SC/ST/OBC Scholarships: Provided by the Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal. GNM students can apply through the official portal.
• Kanyashree Prakalpa (K2): Financial assistance for eligible female students enrolled in the GNM program who possess an active Kanyashree ID.
• Minority Scholarships: Students from minority communities pursuing GNM may apply for the Post-Matric or Merit-cum-Means Scholarships via the National Scholarship Portal.
• Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship (SVMCM): Open to meritorious students from low-income families. Applications must be submitted on the SVMCM portal.

Institute-Level Concessions

• Merit-Based Waivers: GNM applicants with outstanding academic performance in their qualifying examinations may be considered for tuition fee waivers of up to 25%.
• Need-Based Assistance: Students from economically weaker sections can apply for partial tuition concessions, subject to financial documentation and performance review.

Application Process

1. Check your eligibility for the respective government or institutional scholarship.
2. Gather necessary documents: caste/income certificate, academic records, bank account details, ID proof, and admission receipt.
3. Apply through the relevant online portals (e.g., SVMCM, Kanyashree, NSP).
4. Submit a copy of the application to the institute’s Scholarship Cell for verification and further assistance.

Note: GNM students should apply at the start of the academic session to ensure timely processing. Our Scholarship Cell provides end-to-end support for application filling, document uploading, and follow-up with authorities.
