Durgapur Institute of Nursing Sciences is committed to making quality nursing education accessible and inclusive. To support deserving students, several scholarship and financial assistance options are available based on merit, need, and government schemes.

Government Scholarships

• SC/ST/OBC Scholarships: Offered by the Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal. Eligible students must apply through the official portal.
• Kanyashree Prakalpa (K2): Available for female students pursuing higher education. Eligible candidates must have an active Kanyashree ID.
• Minority Scholarships: Students from minority communities can apply for the West Bengal Merit-cum-Means Scholarship or Post-Matric Scholarship through the National Scholarship Portal.
• Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: Open to students with strong academic records and limited financial resources. Applications must be submitted through the SVMCM portal.

Institute-Level Concessions

• Merit Scholarship: Top 5% rank-holders in the WBUHS CET are eligible for a tuition fee waiver of up to 25%.
• Need-Based Assistance: Partial tuition waivers for students from economically weaker backgrounds, subject to performance review and availability of funds.

Application Process

1. Identify the scholarship category applicable to you.
2. Collect required documents: caste certificate, income certificate, academic records, bank account details, and ID proof.
3. Submit the online application through the respective portal.
4. Provide a copy of the application to the institute’s scholarship cell for verification.

Note: Students are encouraged to apply for scholarships at the beginning of the academic session. Institute staff are available to assist with documentation, eligibility clarification, and portal guidance.
