The Library Committee at Durgapur Institute of Nursing Sciences is dedicated to maintaining an enriching, resourceful, and accessible library environment that supports the academic and research needs of our students and faculty. Comprising faculty members, library staff, and student representatives, the committee works collaboratively to expand the library’s collections, incorporating the latest in nursing, healthcare, and related fields. By staying up-to-date with educational resources, the committee ensures that students have access to high-quality materials essential for their studies and professional development.
The committee is responsible for formulating library policies, recommending new acquisitions, and managing the efficient operation of library services. It organizes orientations for new students, teaching them how to utilize library resources effectively, from digital databases to research journals. The Library Committee also promotes the use of e-learning resources and digital platforms, making it easier for students to access valuable content anytime, anywhere.
To foster a culture of academic curiosity and continuous learning, the Library Committee frequently hosts book fairs, reading sessions, and educational workshops. These initiatives encourage students to explore beyond their core curriculum and engage in knowledge-building activities. With the guidance of the Library Committee, Durgapur Institute of Nursing Sciences’ library remains a vibrant learning hub that supports intellectual growth and excellence in healthcare education.
