Durgapur Social and Educational Trust, established in 2004, is dedicated to serving the underprivileged and marginalized segments of society. Over the years, the Trust has expanded its scope to encompass various educational fields, including LAW, Diploma Engineering, Teacher Education (B.Ed, D.Ed), and ITI Education. In 2021, the Trust founded the Durgapur Institute of Nursing Sciences to advance nursing education, a critical component of the healthcare delivery system, and to foster research in the nursing field.
The Institute offers undergraduate and diploma courses in nursing, specifically the B.Sc in Nursing and the General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) programs.
