The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts the entrance examination for Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) and General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) courses across West Bengal. Durgapur Institute of Nursing Sciences accepts candidates based on their WBJEE ANM & GNM ranks, ensuring transparent and merit-based selection.

Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian citizen and a resident of West Bengal for at least 10 years.
• Age: Minimum 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year; maximum age is 35 years.
• Qualification: Passed 10+2 from any recognized board with at least 40% marks (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD).
• Language: Must be able to read, write, and communicate in Bengali and/or Nepali.

• Subjects: Life Science, Physical Science, Arithmetic, English, General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning.
• Mode: OMR-based offline examination.

Admission Process at Durgapur Institute of Nursing Sciences

• Candidates must participate in the centralised counselling conducted by WBJEEB.
• Seats are allotted based on rank, category, and preference.
• Selected candidates must report to the institute for document verification and fee submission.
