• Loan Amount: Up to ₹10 lakh for higher education within India or abroad.
• Interest Rate: 4% per annum simple interest (1% for timely repayment).
• Repayment Period: 15 years including a 1-year moratorium after course completion.
• Coverage: Tuition fees, hostel charges, books, study materials, computers/laptops, and other education-related expenses.
• Collateral: No collateral or guarantor required; loan backed by the state government.

Eligibility Criteria

• Resident of West Bengal for at least 10 years.
• Enrolled in a recognized institute in India or abroad.
• Maximum age limit: 40 years at the time of application.

Application Process

1. Visit the official portal: https://wbscc.wb.gov.in
2. Register as a student and fill out the application form with academic, personal, and course details.
3. Upload necessary documents including admission proof, ID, address proof, and a photograph.
4. Submit the application to the institute for verification.
5. Post-verification, the application will be processed by the bank and loan disbursal will follow upon approval.
